Clive Bapela

Clive joined Bapela Cave Klapwijk in 2000 and together with Alan and Menno formed Bapela Cave Klapwijk. He obtained a B.Com degree from the Vista University. He is also a qualified teacher and trained in community development at UNISA. He specialises in community facilitation and Public Involvement Programmes. He is also Managing Director of Thari-Entsho Development Agency CC.


Menno Klapwijk

Menno has been a principal of BCK since its formation in 1989, with eight years of prior professional experience within South Africa and the United States.

He is a registered Landscape Architect with the Board of Control for Landscape Architects.  He graduated from the Texas A&M University in the United States with a Bachelors of Science-Landscape Architecture as well as completing a course in Environmental Impact Assessment at the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town.

Particular aspects of experience include;  integrated environmental assessment and planning, visual impact assessment, mining and quarry reclamation, site/master planning, landscape design, recreation planning, park planning, and golf course design.  Memberships include the Institute of Landscape Architects of South Africa, the American Society of Landscape Architects, the International Association of Impact Assessors and the Institute of Waste Management
